  • When should we arrive?
We plan on being in Umbria from the 3rd June. Join us if you would like. We plan on staying at Re' Artu and will be doing activities such as wine tasting, hiking and exploring the small Umbrian towns. We would love it if you could join us at our pool party and welcome dinner on the 9th of June, please let us know when you RSVP!
  • How do we get to the venue?
Please see our Travel page for all the details you need on how to get to our venue. There is free parking on site for those traveling by car.
  • Where are all the events listed in your schedule taking place?
All events listed in our schedule from the pool party, welcome dinner, ceremony and reception are all taking place at Castello di Petrata. If you are staying at the venue there is no need to travel anywhere else over the weekend.
  • What is the check-in and check out time?
For those staying at Castello di Petrata, check-in is from 1400 and check-out is by 1000. The venue has a space to store bags on either side of this and you will be able to use the hotel's facilities such as pool, restaurant, bar and toilets.
  • Where should we stay?
We recommend you stay at our venue Castello di Petrata which has multiple accommodation options. Our accommodation page sets these out as well as other alternative options.
  • Does the venue provide towels and toiletries?
For those staying at Castello di Petrata, all rooms and glamping come with a comprehensive toiletry set including shampoo and conditioner, hairdryers, and towels. Irons and ironing boards are available. If you are staying at alturnative accommodation please check directly with your chosen hotel.
  • Is there a bar available to purchase drinks at the venue?
Free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided at the pool party, welcome dinner and all day on the wedding day from 1500 until late into the night. Outside of these events a bar is open for you to purchase drinks. You can use either cash or card.
  • I have allergies and dietary requirements. Will these be catered for?
Our venue is very used to dealing with a wide range of dietary requirements and allergies including coeliac disease and severe allergies. Please make sure you list any requirements on your RSVP and our venue will ensure these are catered for at all events.
  • Is breakfast included?
For those staying at Casetello di Petrata breakfast is included for all rooms and glamping on both the morning of the 10th and 11th. A restaurant on site will also be open for lunch for those who wish to purchase food between breakfast and the listed events where food will be provided. The venue takes both cash (Euros) and card.
  • What should I wear?
Our suggested dress code for the weekend is dressy casual, except for the pool party where 'Ibiza Vibe' outfits are encouraged. Think smart chinos with shirts and cocktail dresses. For the wedding day we do not expect men to wear suits given the expected heat, but please feel free to if you would prefer. The wedding party will be wearing blazers and ties for the ceremony. Women should avoid stiletto heels as the ceremony and aperitivo will take place on grass. Wider heels will be fine and the ground is relatively even. Given we are in the Umbrian mountains it can get cold once the sun sets so we suggest you bring a light jacket, shawl or cardigan for the evening.
  • Does the venue and local shops/ taxi companies accept card?
Our venue accepts most international cards as well as cash payments. We suggest you bring some Euros with you or take some out at the airport cash machine if you are planning on taking a local taxi, visiting Assisi or going to some of the local restaurants. Most places do take cards, but the signal for the card machine could be patchy.
  • When Is the RSVP Deadline?
Please RSVP by the 14th April 2023.
  • I'm planning on bringing my child(ren) with me, what arrangements should I make?
Children are welcome to stay with you at the venue. Castello di Petrata is used to hosting children and babies and has cots and highchairs available for you to use. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate children at any of the events we are hosting. You can contact our venue's usual babysitting service which operates on-site for a fee on +39 342 774 0281 to discuss options. If you have a babe in arms we understand that you might not be able to leave them with a babysitter. If you feel this is you please contact us and we will ensure we accommodate your needs as best we can. Please note we request that there are no children present during our ceremony (including babes in arms) so we can take our vows uninterrupted.
  • We would like to give you a wedding gift, how can we do this?
We are so grateful for the gift of your attendance at our wedding and do not expect any additional gifts. If however, you would still like to provide us with a gift please look at the gift section of this site.
  • Is the Wedding indoors or outdoors?
We hope that the weather is sunny and so we plan to make the most of the beautiful views at our venue and hold most events outdoors. As such please bring plenty of suncream, hats and sunglasses. In case of bad weather, our venue has a beautiful glasshouse where we will be able to host the welcome dinner, ceremony and reception.
  • Is it Ok to take photos during the wedding day?
Please feel free to take lots of photos and videos during the weekend. We politely ask that you are present with us during the ceremony and refrain from taking any photos or videos during this special moment.
